A New Season, A New Look

I know that I say this every year, but I cannot believe how fast the summer has flown by! Actually, it seems that the older I get, the faster time in general flies by. Is that possible?

Has something insignificant ever stuck with you? I remember watching an episode of the newer "Twilight Zone" sometime in the 80's. I was probably about 10. The premise was that there were little people that created, or built, every single moment of time. The weird factor was that every previous moment would continue on and then they would start a new moment. There were millions of the same people, all existing just a moment apart. Anyway, this episode always comes to mind when I wonder why some moments seem to go faster than others.

Anyway, I have spent the summer training on new photography and editing techniques and enjoying time with my boys. I also decided to give my website a new look. I'm not sure how long this one will last, but lately I've been in love with the gray/purplish-blue/yellow palette. It makes me feel calm and sophisticated. I also included an investment page this time.

Recently, there has been tons of media attention on the impact that digital media will have on future generations and there lack of physical photographs. I love the versatility and convenience that digital images allow me as the photographer, but fully support that good prints are absolutely necessary for my clients. If you notice, I have included a print credit in every session. I don't have the floppy disk (or even a computer to use it on) from high school, but I still have the photos from my great, great grandfather. I never want my clients to look back and regretfully try to visualize that amazing session we had in 2015 because they didn't have quality prints made. Unlike the "Twilight Zone" episode, these moments can't be recreated 5, 10 or 20 years from now.

There are lots of great things lined up for this fall. Keep a look out for future posts!
